Sworn In
Sworn In play like a soundtrack to slit wrists and torn hearts. Combining classic hardcore songwriting and a “going for the throat” approach, this English Straight Edge band demonstrate aggression, urgency and passion. Heartbroken and pissed off, satirical and poetic, the lyrics convey a sense of sadness and loss echoed in the music.
Formed in the summer of 2001 from the demise of their previous projects, Delaney, Matt, Buddy, Steve and Alex decided to create a band that said how they really felt about life, focusing on the desperation and regret everyone feels from time to time.
After a handful of shows their demo was recorded which quickly lead to their debut 7”and MCD on Reflections and Bridge Nine. Drawing influences from such diverse areas as Right Brigade to Joy Division and The Smiths, the band play a hard, fast and powerful antidote to many of today’s heartless incarnations.
Sworn In left many stages with dead roses and trashed kids. The band died in 2003..
